Instagram announced 0n 30.04 that it will try to hide the likes count on its platform in an effort to get users to pay attention to the content itself rather than its engagement metrics.
In the test, followers will not see the total number of likes in the photos or views of your videos. The account owner can still access their own metrics and see the tanned totals or view counts for a particular post even though they need to touch a post to view those metrics. Instagram said the "tanned private" test will begin later this week for users in Canada.
In addition, Instagram will feature a donation sticker on the stories, so users can use the novelty to raise funds for NGOs. The platform camera will undergo changes as well, and will bring Create Mode with more editing tools.
