Lanvin Spring/Summer 2021 Collection
For the Spring/Summer 2021 collection, Bruno Sialelli explores a territory made up of memories between reality and fantasy, fantastic characters, and invented stories. The protagonists of the collection are the stylistic codes of the quintessential French wardrobe: scarves, suits, capes, silk blouses - all rigorously in a palette of pastel and summer colours. The style of the outfits is also told through the use of accessories: gloves, shoes, turban hats, sunglasses, and clear references to post-war sewing. This is a celebration of the French joie de vivre, which mixes the essence of Parisian chic with a dose of Hollywood glamour, the artistic director's favorite mood board for several seasons now.
The images in the collection represent contemporary heroes and heroines, inspired by cinematic frames and imaginary editorial plans for fashion magazines. The collection comes to life at the Palais Idéal, an example of architecture built in Hauterives, in the Drôme, designed by Ferdinand Cheval between 1879 and 1912. This fantastic medieval castle has become, over time, a place of gathering and pilgrimage for artists of the caliber of André Breton, Pablo Picasso and Max Ernst. A perfect setting to tell the story of Bruno Sialelli's new creations and the Lanvin attitude!
