Rok Hwang at Paris Fashion Week showed a physical show with Spring Summer 2021 collection that is a tribute to the youth age. “I started this collection with the same desire as always: To explore the moments of my youth and express personal emotions that those memories bring me. This time I wanted to capture the experience of walking at night when you are young. The air is tense and at the same time full of the thrill of adventure. This is how I felt every time I went to a friend's house in Austin, Texas. Even though I only walked two or three blocks, the night breezes carried a mysterious feeling that stayed with me. On those evenings, when we went out together, we could feel the infinity stretching before us in the dark." Rokh collection reminds the fantastic novel "Miss Peregrine - The house of special children" by Ransom Riggs, also adapted for the 2016 Tim Burton film. In the apocalyptic atmosphere between canyons and smoke bombs, Victorian elements coexist in perfect harmony with couture mix made of drapery, cut outs, floral prints and British tartan. Two new silhouettes are introduced: a trech that supports feminine lines at the waist and a dress draped at the hips. Harness in leather and metal but also graphic prints made in collaboration with the contemporary artist Parker Jackson from LA who transmits a dark vision of art from the 80s.
