Louis Vuitton is giving a whole new meaning to the term “ear candy” with its wireless Horizon earphones. Introduced a year ago, the premium headphones marked the maison’s first foray into the audio realm, and generated a lot of buzz for hitting the sweet spot between high tech and high fashion. Now, the luxury house has updated the collection with new colours, fresh features, and an enhanced audio experience. If you think AirPods are fancy, wait till you see these babies.
The essential shape of the Horizon remains unchanged, except that the printed monogram logo has been replaced with a round metal disc bearing either the LV initials or the Monogram flowers. The earphones come in five striking colourways with silver or gold details – jet black, pristine white, bright red, baby pink, and neon yellow, and are matched with a lustrous graphite-toned charging case that mimics the design of the Tambour Horizon smartwatch. You won’t need another pair of statement earrings if you have one of these.
Not just a pretty face, the Horizon showcases some seriously state-of-the-art audio technology. Created in partnership with Master & Dynamic, the 2.0 version is equipped with two new features: active noise-cancelling mode to decrease external noise, and ambient listening mode to stay aware when listening to your favourite tunes. Other refinements include an extended 30-hour battery life, wireless charging, double microphones in each earpiece, and a more precise LED battery indicator on the charging case. A true lifestyle accessory, the earphones work with all Bluetooth devices as well as with the Tambour Horizon connected watch.
The Louis Vuitton Horizon Earphones are priced at SGD$1,570, and are available at all Louis Vuitton boutiques and the Louis Vuitton e-commerce store
