Appointed Creative Director in 2016 by the PVH group also owned by Tommy Hilfiger, the Belgian designer Raf Simons aimed to reinvent the American fashion giant. With the launch of Calvin Klein 205W39NYC, the Flemish designer has proposed several radical collections, sharp and conceptual. Calvin Klein presented at each season, during the New York Fashion Week, a more upmarket collection than the rest of the lines "CK".

But despite several awards and awards from the CFDA, the creator has been thanked. His departure last year was a turning point. Calvin Klein will close its Milan offices and proceed with nearly 100 redundancies. "I can confirm that the brand Calvin Klein 205W39NYC will close," told AFP a spokesman for Calvin Klein. The closure of its New York flagship located at 654 Madison Avenue has also been confirmed.

In 2017, all products sold under the Calvin Klein brand, from clothing to perfume, including watches and glasses, represented a turnover of $ 9.1 billion. The group is moving towards a strategic redesign, completely renouncing the luxury segment.
