Victoria Beckham is preparing for a special parade in November this year, which will be headquartered in Toronto, Canada. The proceeds from the sale of the parade and dinner ticket will be donated to two charities of the Canadian philanthropist Suzanne Rogers. These are Camp Ooch, which offers children affected by childhood cancer unique growth opportunities through special experiences, and The Penelope Neuroblastoma Foundation, which funds research on brain tumors and supports families affected by this type of disease.
Suzanne spoke about the event as a "rare opportunity" to interact with Beckham and her collection "I am so pleased that Victoria has accepted the invitation to come to Toronto and deeply appreciate her personal commitment and generosity in supporting our children's charities," Rogers said in an official statement.
More causes focused on children can be confirmed with the proximity of the event, which will be chaired by the philanthropist Sylvia Mantella.
This is not the first time that Beckham joins a social cause, the designer was nominated in 2014 as the Goodwill Ambassador of the Joint United Nations Program on HIV / AIDS (UNAIDS), after having worked in other charity such as the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
Other designers have also used their influence to help Suzanne's institutions, including Diane von Furstenberg, Oscar de la Renta, Marchesa and Zac Posen, who have participated in the charity fundraiser series.
