Which fashion pieces to bet on this fall-winter?

Each new school year marks a renewal, and the novelty often goes hand in hand with the desire to change one's image - and therefore one's wardrobe. Like every season, the global fashion research platform Lyst has surveyed internet users to predict which pieces to absolutely bet on for fall / winter 2020-21. Here's a quick overview of the key trends not to be missed!

The leather

Whoever says autumn-winter necessarily means a renewed interest in leather. Vegan or not, the cloakroom is available everywhere: Bermuda shorts, wide pants, mini-dresses or timeless coats. Since August, Internet users' attention to leather has skyrocketed to 31% (despite the high temperatures!). So we follow the movement and we are already thinking about the key pieces that will make the difference in the street next season.

Headlining: Ganni, Burberry, Sportmax, Saks Potts and Stand Studio.

Oversized version details

If influencers make us green with envy with their oversized frilly collars and sleeves, it's not for nothing. Oversized details are THE new stylish way to upgrade your look. With a record 46% searches, these usually innocuous ornaments are taking power. Like Camille Charrière, pioneer of the trend, we put on daring puffed sleeves or a wide Peter Pan collar not so wise ...

Headlining: Ganni, Miu Miu, Lemaire and Isabel Marant.

Denim patchwork

We've spotted it since the last Dior Cruise 2021 show. Patchwork-style denim is causing a stir and rocketing internet searches, with a significant increase in queries going to over 11% in the past month. A strong trend to mark the spirits. All categories combined, we dare jackets, straight-cut jeans or even long denim skirts!

Headlining: Jaded London, Amiri, Junya Watanabe, Ralph Lauren and Maje.

Chunky shoes

Fall-winter requires, we put our little sandals in the closet in favor of well enveloping boots. This season again, the chunky trend is confirmed! Searches for thick-soled rangers boots have increased by 69% in the past month. The chunky-inspired moccasins also seem poised to win our hearts, especially the latest Prada logo model (prepare your purses for this next must have!).

Headlining: Bottega Veneta, Dr. Martens and Prada.

Bags in all their forms

XXL or XXS version, there is in any case no question of half measures! Searches for oversized tote bags have increased by nearly 33% since July, while miniature accessories are on the rise, having gathered more than 60,000 searches since last month.

Headlining: Chanel, Balenciaga, Longchamp, Maison Margiela, Jacquemus and Gucci.
