At 50 Claudia Schiffer wins Barbie line with her face

To mark five decades of Claudia Schiffer, who has catwalked practically all the luxury fashion brands and has been on the cover of numerous magazines around the world, now Barbie is launching two new "miniClaudias" inspired by her incredible style.

This is not the first time that Barbie makes a Claudia doll: in 2017, they launched their first Barbie in a golden dress signed by Versace. This time, Barbie invited designers Olivier Rousteing from Balmain and Donatella Versace to create two new personalized creations.

Both created reinterpretations of looks that Claudia used in the past, making them miniature, but equally fabulous. The strapless Versace dress that her Barbie wears is actually quite old: it is a recreation of a look Claudia wore in the Italian fashion show in the fall of 1994. The Balmain dress Schiffer's Barbie wears is a recreation of what Claudia wore in the brand's recent spring 2016 campaign.

Barbie continues to have a special place in Schiffer's heart, and the supermodel says that seeing the new ode to her at 50 was a moving tribute. "It's an incredible birthday present," says Claudia in a statement. If you are looking to get your hands on the new Claudia Barbie, however, you will be out of luck: the high fashion dolls were created exclusively for an editorial on the @BarbieStyle Instagram page.
