At a time when everyday life has stopped, even fashion events have redefined their priorities for the coronavirus emergency. Chanel will not present the Cruise 2020-2021 Cruise Collection fashion show, scheduled for 7 May in Capri. The Maison has decided to protect the health and well-being of employees and guests, looking for alternative ways to present the collection, when the situation permits. Lecce, another Italian city chosen by a French fashion house, will not host the Dior Cruise Collecion 2020/2021 on 9 May. The decision to have the Cathedral of Lecce as the background of the parade was strongly desired by the creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri, of Salento origins. The show has been postponed with a date to be set.

Given the health emergency, Hermés has decided to protect his team and with the desire to welcome his guests in conditions of absolute safety, the Resort 2021 Collection, which would have been held in London on April 28, has been postponed.

Armani and Versace also care about the health of guests and employees. Armani will postpone the event scheduled for April 19 and 20 in Dubai, on the occasion of the ten years of the Armani Hotel and the reopening of the Dubai Mall. The event will be postponed to November 2020 on the occasion of Expo 2020. Versace will not fly to the United States on May 16 for the presentation of the 2020/2021 Cruise Collection, which will be postponed to protect all those involved.

The first to cancel their Cruise 2021 show was Gucci. The show will not be held on May 18 in San Francisco, but a new date and location will be announced as soon as the health emergency is over.

In addition, the Aeffe group has announced that Alberta Ferretti's 2021 show resort, scheduled for May 22 in Rimini, will be canceled due to the rapid spread of the coronavirus. Max Mara will also not be parading in St. Petersburg for the 2020/20121 cruise collection, scheduled for May 25. Due to the spread of the epidemic, Miuccia Prada has decided to postpone the Resort 2021 show, which should have been held in Japan. Finally, the Met Gala, scheduled for May 4, will also be postponed to a date to be set.
