Powerful! Serena Williams became the new poster girl for Stuart Weitzman, taking over the place that was once occupied by Gisele Bündchen, Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner. In the minimalist visuals of the brand, the tennis player shows all her elegance. Wearing a bodysuit and overcoat, with her hair perfectly tied in a low ponytail, Williams was photographed by Ethan James Green.
In her Instagram account, Serena took advantage of the disclosure of the images to talk about VitalVoices, which invests in women leaders who are looking for global changes, or as the organization itself says “that are solving the biggest challenges in the world”.
“I hope, that through this campaign and Stuart Weitzman's partnership with @VitalVoices, we can share a message of hope and optimism, and celebrate women and their ability to elevate their communities”.
The brand is famous for scaling big stars for its campaigns. But the 2020 marks the brand's history for being the first time that its only spokesperson is a black woman - and a star who is not only known for modeling. Last year's campaign brought together Kendall Jenner, Willow Smith, Yang Mi and Jean Campbell.
