Meat Me

I often go to Lisbon and always look for new restaurants. By chance, walking in Alto Chiado, I came across an inviting door and decided to try Meat Me. This was one of those experiences that goes without expectation and ends up being surprised in the best possible way.

The restaurant is impeccable both in its decoration, service, and in its dishes developed by Chef Tomás Pires, who has a strong influence of French cuisine, and has even lived in Brazil.

Everything is good, the meats, the wines and the desserts. It is worth going without haste and letting time pass slowly ... to enjoy this good table.

Love yourself

Sea Me is one of the most consistent gastronomic projects in the center of Lisbon. It is a modern fishmonger, a reference in fish and seafood in the city, which respects the strong traditions of Portuguese cuisine, but which has innovated. Your dishes have that touch of mystery in which seasoning was used.

Its cuisine is divided into three main areas: barbecue, sushi and creative cuisine. I am particularly curious and whenever I go I choose creative dishes. A delight!

Soão means: wind blowing from the east. And it is with this concept that this restaurant seeks to bring to Lisbon, the intense aromas of the Asian continent. I cannot say that he is Japanese, although sushi is the real chef's car, because there are also inspirations here in five other countries to complete the letter: India, Thailand, Vietnam, China and Korea.

Here I like to order lobster sashimi and Soão maki, an eel roll topped with tuna belly, salt flower and yukari, a dry Japanese condiment. Surprise yourself!

The Nail of the Fishmonger

Prego is a typical dish of Portuguese cuisine: steak (usually beef, but it can be pork and even fish) that is served on bread or on the plate, and it is common to come with a sauce.

That said, one of the best Pregos de carne that you eat in Lisbon is in a fishmonger. Yes, you read well. Nail, meat. Fishmonger, fish. Probably the only fishmonger in the world known for the nails it serves. Worth knowing!
