Seen, smelled, and felt: Fendi and Maison of Kurkdjian present their first collaboration, uniting the world of fashion and perfumery in a unique way. The encounter of the Baguette Bag and Kurkdjian's fragrances led to an idea that was presented at Design Miami: new limited-edition FENDI FRESENIA Scented Baguette Bags made from Scented Selleria leather. The scent is an eau de parfum with leathery notes and musk accents. The bags each hold a 5ml bottle of FENDI FRESENIA, sprayed onto a card to subtly perfume the inside of the bag. Francis Kurkdjian's creation can, of course, also be used on the skin. The French perfumer revived the old tradition of perfuming leather back in 2014 and has patented his approach.
"A bag is like a woman's best friend. Her whole life, her secrets, is in there. And perfume is something incredibly personal for a woman," said Silvia Venturini Fendi.
There are two models available in the iconic yellow leather of Fendi: a baguette bag that can be carried on the shoulder or as a fanny pack, and a nano baguette that will be available in the Miami boutique from December 4. The entire collection will be available worldwide in all Fendi boutiques and online from May 2020 (#FendiFrenesiaBaguette).
