The “bad romance” singer has returned, and this time, she’s an extra terrestrial power ranger.
The Oscar-winning pop icon Lady Gaga has just released her first solo pop single in three years Friday morning. The song, "Stupid Love," channels her classic dance-pop roots together and signature catchy pop music beats, which harkens back to her Born This Way days.
Catch Lady Gaga’s saturated pop punk fantasy here:
"You’re the one that I’ve been waiting for. Gotta quit this crying. Nobody’s gonna heal me if I don’t open the door," Gaga croons at the start of the song, before declaring in the chorus that she “wants your stupid love”.
So, let’s get this straight. In 2008, Gaga wanted to play a love game, and in 2020, she changes her mind and claims all she wanted was love (even if it's stupid). Honestly, same.
It’s undeniable that Gaga fans have been waiting for this moment for years. The highly anticipated music video has already garnered 315k views on 15 minutes on Youtube, and has made the #1 trend worldwide on Twitter.
The new song is the first official preview of her anticipated sixth studio album. An earlier version of “Stupid Love” leaked online earlier in January, after Gaga shared a photo of herself carving pumpkins.
