How did you decide to grow wheatgrass seeds?
Wheatgrass is a subject that we have been working on for a long time. Our training and career paths were similar and even crossed at several points. We set out on how to make wheatgrass water, which has essential nutritional values. That's how we started the Ancient Greens brand.
Can you tell us about the process of growing seeds and becoming Jubes?
Our seeds are ancestral ancient wheat seeds. Jubes is the frozen form of ancestral wheatgrass water that we unite with the words Juice + Cubes. Since the liquid we create is a living liquid, we freeze it in a unique way and deliver it to the consumer without loss of nutritional values.
Is it recommended as a herbal supplement for disease treatment?
It is used in the treatment of many diseases. Of course, the results differ depending on the disease and person. Even herbal teas can have different effects on different people. Therefore, if you have any discomfort, you should consult your doctor before use.
What is the difference between Jubes and traditional wheatgrass waters?
Ancient Greens produces wheatgrass from the best quality ancestral wheat seeds in Antakya, located in the Fertile Crescent, which is the first region in the world to start wheat agriculture. For this reason, we believe that this product, which is made using the ancient seeds and 98% organic soil, makes a difference both in nutritional value and flavour. Our production is done only in our greenhouse in Hatay. In this region, climate, land, and seeds are in good harmony with each other, and that is our philosophy. Our production is fully traceable, respectful to nature and humans, and in our greenhouse, we have a zero-waste system. We provide packaging and transportation that is in peace with nature and does not affect the quality of the product until the Jubes product appears.
For how long can Jubes be stored?
The ice cubes can be stored in the freezer for up to 6 months.
Do you recommend adding it to your daily diet?
Of course! Our goal is to create Jubes wheatgrass water - a beneficial nutrient that can be easily added to your daily routine. Each family has its unique eating habits, but with Jubes, it is possible to create new recipes that appeal to people of all ages.
Especially when do you recommend consumption?
The most effective method is 30 ml for adults on an empty stomach in the morning. It can vary according to age, gender, and daily activity since it is not a medicine but a natural supplementary food.
Can anyone consume Jubes?
Yes! We have customers of all ages and many different diets. The taste surprises everyone, and Jubes can be incorporated easily in raw, vegan, vegetarian, ketogenic, paleo, gluten-free recipes. Salad dressings, drinks, dip sauces, iced teas… Even those who don't like the taste of Jubes wheatgrass juice can think of a way to adapt it to their daily routines.
What do you suggest for those who have difficulty getting used to the taste of Jubes? Do you have a special smoothie recipe?
This is our alternative recipe for those who don't like the taste of Jubes:
1 bag of green tea
1 cup hot water
2 pots of frozen pineapple
1 container of spinach
1 tea paper chia,
2 pieces of jubes
Blend all ingredients.
Wheatgrass juice has become very popular and is even used in cocktails. What do you think about that?
We also follow some cocktail recipes. We believe that health is a whole, both physically and mentally. Of course, if you consume Jubes for health reasons, mixing them with alcohol is probably not purposeful, but Jubes has a sweet taste because of the unique seed mixture. For this reason, Jubes can be used as a sugar substitute in cocktails, making it more extraordinary.
In recent years, the place and importance of superfoods have increased. What do you associate this development process with?
In general, there is an increasing concern about personal care, beauty, sports, nutrition, travel, and mental (spiritual) wellness. Besides, there is a more educated and realistic understanding of the environmental impact we have on our planet. People not only care about the quality of ingredients but also how it is transported and packaged. Smoothies are what generation Y thinks about food - it should be easy to make, tasty, but have the nutritional value. People are reading more, educating their families, and teaching their children healthy eating habits. However, the key, of course, still is balance. Those with serious illnesses should consult with their doctors before consuming Jubes. After all, even too much water can cause problems.
