Was Britney Spears getting ready to give an interview to Oprah Winfrey? There is no doubt that the special in which Meghan Markle and Harry talked about their story has transformed the public's view of their path. And, all of this has become an inspiration for the pop princess who, after 13 years of guardianship, felt connected to the Duchess's story and wants to tell her version of the facts as well.
"Britney was incredibly moved by Meghan's interview, as she compared her own feelings of imprisonment, as well as her struggles with mental health, which she considered incredibly brave," reveals a source to Closer magazine. The big problem is that, although the singer wants to reveal her story, like the Dukes of Sussex, she is still under guardianship, which prevents her from talking about these issues freely.
"With her father still acting as a co-conservative, Britney has all aspects of her life in check, so she also feels that she has been forced into silence," explains the source. "But while showing her struggle to have her father removed, Britney is finally struggling to regain the control of her own life.”
An Entertainment Tonight source reveals that Britney “always hated giving interviews, but if she takes that step, Oprah would probably be her first choice. At the moment, there is no plan in progress for her to do an interview, but when she does, there will be steps”.
