A lunar expanse of pink sand. The writing Dior carved in mothers letters from which primal stalactites of quartz sprout. It is the setting created by the artist Daniel Arsham, who collaborated with the LVMH fashion house to create the new spring-summer 2020 universe. But not only because Kim Jones, the creative soul of the brand's man, also wanted it for imagine a series of accessories created with 3D printers. Because Dior's homme speaks a futuristic language of modernity, punctuated also by the other special collaboration, the one with Rimowa, to create suitcases and backpacks with easy proportions and sparkling metal surfaces covered by the monogram of the maison. In a referral game, having seen Jones is also the season testimonial of the Rimowa ad. The rest of the story preserves Kubrikian memories à la 2001: A space odyssey but also traces of Indiana Jones. Because the season pentagram, cleverly spiced with must-have accessories, fashionist details such as monogrammed socks and cult details studied together with Yoon Ambush and Matthew Williams, is marked by simple notes. Like the tailoring, on which Jones is working in an important way thanks to his oblique jackets. But also casual, made luxurious among pink bubble crocodile sweatshirts. Completing the season are the absolute whites of duster coats and Bermuda shorts, the abstract and three-dimensional embroideries that mimic precious rocks but also the toile de jouy of cotton shirts and sandblasted Saharan shirts and hats that protect the face from sudden wind storms. Without forgetting the intense gray of primitive rocks, chosen to paint an urbanwear with geometrically simple silhouettes. The icing on the cake is the return of the Dior gazzette print which, together with the all-over oblique monogram surfaces, gives a crazy touch to the whole. Creating pieces destined to become a real blockbuster
