"My king, my heart, best best friend," wrote Vanessa Bryant, the widow of Kobe Bryant, in the caption of a photo with her late husband to remember their 19 years of marriage. Kobe, a former Los Angeles Lakers star, died in a helicopter crash in January of that year.
In the emotional statement, the 37-year-old former model also wrote: “Happy 19th birthday, baby. I miss you so much. I wish you were here to hold me in your arms. I love you".
The terrible accident took not only the athlete's life, but also killed the couple's 13-year-old daughter, Gianna Bryant and seven others who were traveling in the same helicopter. Everyone was going to a children's basketball game.
Vanessa is living in Los Angeles with her other three daughters from Kobe: Natalia (17 years old), Bianka (3 years old) and Capri (9 months old) and she's always remembering her husband's memory in tributes. She recently made a post celebrating Kobe's four-year retirement anniversary that said, “My husband worked hard for 20 years. He did his best. He just wanted to spend more time with our girls and make up for lost time”.
