McLaren Automotive is launching the Elva model as a road car to honour the brand's first racing vehicles. However, very few people will have access to the new model. Global production will be limited to just 399 examples, with prices starting at $ 1.69 million. The first cars will meet their new owners by the end of 2020.
To offer an open race car experience, the machines will have not only a huge windshield and side windows but also a glass roof. To avoid the need for a helmet, McLaren engineers have created what they claim to be the world's first Active Air Management System (AAMS), designed to redirect airflow over the cockpit.
