Valery Kovalska is a Ukrainian ready-to-wear brand providing a meticulously crafted and well-balanced solution for a standout black-tie dressing as well as original daily wardrobe. Recognizable deconstructed cut rooted in old world craftsmanship fosters the «neo-couture» allure of the brand’s collections. Extravagant yet feminine, Valery Kovalska brings together the contrasting ideas of exquisite couture designs, modern wearability and bold dare-to-shine attitude. Its chic and comfortable clothing is destined to draw attention whether at red carpet, big corporate office or spontaneous getaway.
The brand used to be known for its handcrafted intricate leather pieces up until 2016 when Valery Kovalska, the designer behind the namesake brand, made a conscious decision to discontinue the use of leather. The brand accepted the challenge to become more conscious and nature-friendly, adapting the leather techniques to other fabrics and choosing the path of sustainable development. Since then Valery Kovalska minimizes its waste, learning to use resources thoughtfully and up till the very last piece of fabric, supports local talents and artisans and avoids overproduction, choosing to grow slow but steadily. Creating timeless investment pieces that stand away from fast-fleeting trends, Valery Kovalska promotes the idea of conscious consumption offering versatile and durable pieces that last longer and can be styled in multiple ways.
