After 13 years at Givenchy, Ricardo Tisci transferred to British fashion giant Burbery in 2018. With the vision and versatility he brings to the luxury British brand, he has adopted an attitude that reflects the Burberry spirit but also adapts to the age of social media.
In the light of his innovative attitude, the designer recently introduced the brand's first bag campaign. Bella Hadid, one of Tisci's favourite models, took part in the campaign shot by the famous photographer duo Inez and Vinoodh. Inspired by the concept of "animal kingdom," introduced by Thomas Burberry, the founder of the brand for the first time, Tisci stated that he aims to reflect Hadid's femininity and animal instinct.
Introduced for the first time in 2019, the bag was designed based on Burberry's archives. Burberry's bag "Pocket Bag", which we will define as "it-bag," refers to the riding heritage of the brand with its front pocket and leather strip additions. Ricardo Tisci chose to present the “Pocket Bag” as the precursor of the Spring 2021 collection, which will be held without an audience due to the pandemic.
