The Dior Men Pre-Fall 2019 Campaign Dazzles With a Light Show

Cue "Ultralight Beam".

"I wanted the campaign to catch the energy of the Tokyo show, with the amazing laser lights of the finale," said Artistic Director Kim Jones on his second Dior Men campaign, this time for Pre-Fall 2019. By the looks of it, the series of photographs shot by Steven Meisel certainly lives up to Jones' vision.

The collection was first unveiled at the Japanese capital last December on a catwalk adorned with blooming cherry blossoms, the centre of which stood a massive, metallic robot sculpture by Hajime Sorayama. Sadly, the Japanese artist's retro-futuristic creation doesn't appear in the campaign (unlike KAWS' BFF, the star of both the Spring 2019 runway and campaign), but Sorayama's equally cool take on the Dior logo does.

So do an array of colourful laser beams that race past Jones' beautifully tailored designs and covetable accessories (the metal Saddle bag! Those silver commando boots!). The resulting visuals are something straight out of psychedelic trip, albeit an über stylish one. See it below:
