The year 2020 will be Lacroix or not. After a surprise return and widely applauded alongside the Belgian designer Dries Van Noten last September, we find with pleasure the French designer Christian Lacroix in the heart of a new alliance, this time with the founders of the British label RIXO, Orlagh McCloskey and Henrietta Rix. A marriage straight out of a dream for these two vintage enthusiasts: "Henrietta and I have always been big fans of Christian Lacroix. When we went in search of vintage pieces in Paris, our best finds carried the Christian label Lacroix. Being able to explore the Maison's archives was incredibly inspiring," says Orlagh.
From this exclusive meeting was born an ultra-desirable and transgenerational collection, a true 2.0 tribute to the heritage of the Maison Christian Lacroix, which ceased its activity in 2009. Its signature prints, its quirky spirit, its taste for maximalism .. . that's all identity forged by the creator of the cult 80-90 years who discusses each of the silhouettes drawn by the Rixo duo - small fluid dresses all-over patchwork sets very Cher from Clueless up with golden buttons and frills in an Iberian dancer style. The best part?
The collection, produced in limited quantities, is available now on the brand's eshop as well as at the Galeries Lafayette Champs Elysées.
