Luxury fashion online retailer Mytheresa is delighted to announce the release of its second print issue of “The Album”, featuring French singer and actress Cécile Cassel aka “HollySiz” as the cover star.
The sequel contains four chapters which offer a personal and intimate insight into the lives of artists and designers known as Mytheresa’s ‘Best Friends in Fashion’, presents the newest trends of the Spring/Summer 2019 season, and honour empowering women, including female photographers and their work, to coincide with International Women’s Day on March 8th.
In light of this, a new chapter called, “Personal Matters” has been created. This chapter features a series of private items donated exclusively to Mytheresa by 12 of the fashion industry’s leading designers, all for a good cause. Designers include: Alessandro Michele (Gucci), Maria Grazia Chiuri (Dior), Pierpaolo Piccioli (Valentino), Miuccia Prada (Prada), Demna Gvasalia (Balenciaga), Silvia Fendi (Fendi), Jonathan Anderson (JW Anderson), Sandra Choi (Jimmy Choo), Brunello Cucinelli (Brunello Cucinelli), Kym Ellery (Ellery) and Lucie & Luke Meier (Jil Sander).
"We are so excited to have been chosen by Mytheresa as their charity partner to mark International Women's Day. At mothers2mothers, we celebrate women every day: We believe in the power of women to create change in their own lives, and those of their families and communities. We see the 3,000 Wonder Women we work with do this on a daily basis - HIV-positive women from local com- munities who are trained and employed by mothers2mothers as "Mentor Mothers". In 2017, they helped us reach almost 2.3 million women and families with life-saving support and health advice. The proceeds from this beautiful and generous sale will help them reach even more." Emma France, Global Development & Strategic Engagement Director at mothers2mothers
All “Personal Matters” will be sold on the Mytheresa website, from March 8th – 19th 2019. In ad- dition, Mytheresa will include the prints of eight female photographers works from the chapters of “The Album” in the overall auction. From both the "Personal Matters" and these additional pieces of art, 100% of the auction proceeds will go to ‘mothers2mothers’, an international nonprofit or- ganization, dedicated to preventing mother-to-child transmission of HIV and creating healthy fami- lies by providing education and support to women, children and families.
