Designed by Karl Lagerfeld and Virginie Viard, for the Autumn / Winter 2019/20 ready-to-wear collection, the Chanel 19 is named after its year of birth. The name is a nod to another special bag, the 2.55, created in February 1955 by Miss Chanel. This new model comes in three sizes and has all the signature codes of the house: double C clasp, rectangular flap, diamond-quilted leather or two-tone tweed, and a long handle chain with interlaced leather.
For its first season, the Chanel 19 comes in various shades, such as black, beige, white, turquoise, green, dark red and fuchsia pink. The new bags are quite different from the Chanel that Linda Evangelista, Claudia Schiffer, and Christy Turlington were seen with during the 90s. This bag is a real link between the past, the present, and the future.
Immediately identifiable but without ostentation and rich in details with both masculine and feminine accents, the bag is versatile and will complete either a sophisticated or a casual look. More than a desire: a dream come true.
