Art, in all its forms, has a central role for the creative genius of Hedi Slimane. The designer is also a photographer and has a degree in art history. Cinema, music, photography, art have always contaminated his inspiration. The creative director of Celine, in fact, made his debut in September 2019 with the project Portrait of A Performer / of An Artist, which today expands through a cycle of videos, distributed on the Instagram account of @celine.

Each video tells the creative process of the protagonist/performer. This "home session" opened with a video by Canadian artist Shawn Kuruneru, who had previously collaborated with the brand. Many have joined the project, such as the band Oracle Sisters, including Lewis Lazar, Christopher Willat, and Julia Johansen, the band Lucia and the Best Boys, which proposes an acoustic version of their song Good Girls Do Bad Things, and artist Carlos Valencia who has been a part of Celine Art since 2016 and reinterprets images of comics, prints and photographs with the technique of graphite. In addition, you can see the band Joan Joett and the Blackhearts with their single Crimson and Clover, musician James Bagshaw of the psychedelic indie rock band Temples, and, finally, artist Charles Harlan who makes industrial objects the centrepiece of his art.
