A double line of graphic eyeliner highlighted with a golden touch… For the Dior haute couture spring-summer 2020 fashion show with accents of ancient Greece, Peter Philips imagined a discreet make-up bold enough to reinforce the silhouettes of Greek goddesses. "I drew a double line of black eyeliner, like two small wings that are both discreet but very graphic. Placed at the corner of the eyes, they play a contrast while lightness with a golden hue," he explains.
The secrets of the Dior haute couture spring-summer 2020 fashion show
The eyes: to get this look, we curl the lashes with the Dior Backstage Eyelash Curler and apply a little Diorshow Iconic Overcurl mascara in 090 Over Noir, just at the roots of the lashes. Then, we draw at the corner of the eyes on the upper eyelid like that of the bottom two black lines with the Diorshow On Stage Liner in 091 Matte Black. We then fill the space between these two small wings with the golden eyeshadow, applied wet, with the Dior Backstage Custom Eye Palette in 001 Universal Neutral. To finish accentuating the look, we structure the eyebrows with the Diorshow Pump 'n' Brow.
The complexion: Peter Philips details: " A hyper natural complexion, prepared with the Dior Backstage Face & Body Primer which blurs and smoothes the skin. Then, I use the Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation foundation, whose fine texture gives a very natural effect, by matching the shades to each skin tone. Finally, I make corrections with the brand new Dior Forever Skin Correct concealer."
The lips: remain natural. We prepare them with the Dior Lip Sugar Scrub in 001, then apply the Dior Lip Maximizer in 001 Pink, which reduces the shine.
