Even better than a sunscreen: the UV sensor that sticks to clothing

For the first time, Apple and L'Oreal unveil a gadget that tracks UV exposure, pollution and pollen and even gives you beauty advice.
Reading time 1 minutes

Say goodbye to sunburn! Apple and L'Oréal  have teamed up and launched La Roche-Posay My Skin Track UV, a portable solar collector, to measure the level of exposure not only to UV rays, but also pollution, pollen and moisture. Created with designer Yves Béhar , the miniature camera (it measures only 12 millimeters), has to be pinned to a garment, a jewel or an accessory. Connected to an app on your Smartphone, the gadget records essential data to a quality beauty routine and sends them in real time. In addition- storing data for three months, the app also acts as a coach, delivering targeted advice based on the data collected. This device will ensure that you avoid any environmental aggressions, get unwanted sun damage and expose yourself to the sun without danger, as you will be able to track all of the things mentioned above. The tool even sends alerts in case of too much exposure. As a bonus, this jewel of technology recharges using sun energy. Smart!

My Skin Track UV is now available on apple.com and at select Apple stores around the world. For more information on My Skin Track UV visit: www.laroche-posay.be .
