Kanye West continues to consolidate in the fashion world! Recently, the singer and entrepreneur announced that his brand will produce more accessible lines in partnership with Gap. The agreement will be valid for 1 decade and could be then renewed for another 5 years.
Kanye will be the creative director of the new line, which will have men's, women's and children's clothing, designed by the design team of Yeezy, the rapper’s brand. The products will be inspired by basic and modern concepts and will hit the stores and e-commerce in 2021.
Following the announcement, Gap's shares have increased by 12%, almost $ 400 million. A few hours later, the percentage went to 28%, corresponding to more than 1 billion dollars in the market value. The news is great for the company, which lost $ 1 billion in the first quarter due to the coronavirus pandemic.
