Car collectors know that Pebble Beach's Concours d'Elegance is the industry's most prestigious attraction where they can get to know the rarest cars in the world. So there's no better place for the most expensive car of all time, the Bugatti La Voiture Noire, to make its American debut.
The car, which will be on display in the US for the first time at the event, costs $ 18.7 million and has already been purchased by an anonymous person. The unique model of the La Voiture Noire has an impressive W-16 turbo engine, going from 0 to 100 in 2.5 seconds.
‘We have produced a unique car, which we call automotive haute couture,’ said Achim Anscheidt, Bugatti's design director. ‘It's not just a car anymore. It's more like a work of art in line with fashion brands and highly exclusive luxury in France.’
