Guglielmo Miani, CEO and president of Larusmiani, announced a few weeks ago the first edition of Fuori Concorso, to be held in Como in the historic Villa del Grumello in conjunction with the Concorso d'Eleganza of Villa d'Este, of which the famous Milanese brand will be a partner for the first time. The event this year will host, in the gardens of the residence redone in the 16th century by order of Tommaso D'Adda, the most exclusive examples of Bentley from the nineties coming from collectors from all over the world.
Inside, a photographic exhibition by Ted Gushue - he was Petrolicious's executive editor and today among the most popular personalities in the automotive world - and the theme illustrations by Martin Miškolci - an artist behind the Petrolified brand.
Out of Competition is an exclusive and unique format of its kind. It was born with the aim of creating an additional and independent content to the legendary Competition, focusing however on different cars, which are less than 35 years old. The first edition wants to celebrate Bentley in the important historical milestone of the one hundred years reached this year and, in particular, the Continental project that in the nineties contributed to relaunching the Crewe home all over the planet.
On this occasion, the book “Bentley: A Century of elegance and speed” by Giorgio Nada Editore will also be presented, which pays tribute to the centenary of the exclusive English car manufacturer and its history starting from the founder Walter Owen Bentley until the 2000s, stopping particularly on the Continental project of the nineties.
