Series, films, documentaries ... In November 2019, Netflix has updated its catalogue with some highly anticipated novelties, from season 3 of The Crown to the new film by Martin Scorsese with Robert De Niro, The Irishman. Here are ten new additions to watch now!

The King

The King is one of the most anticipated Netflix films of this year, and it finally arrived on November 1. Presented at the Venice Film Festival 2019, David Michôd's film has already attracted a lot of attention. This film propels us in the year 1415, during the Hundred Years War. This is an adaptation of three plays by William ShakespeareHenry IV (first and second part) and Henri V. In addition to Joel Edgerton (The Great Gatsby), Sean Harris (Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation) and Ben Mendelsohn (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), we find Robert Pattinson playing a French prince, Timothy Chalamet playing the young future King Henry V, and Lily-Rose Depp, who slips into the skin of the princess Catherine de Valois, wife of Henry V.

A Safari for Christmas

The film starring Rob Lowe and Kristin Davis, best known for her perfect portrayal of Charlotte York in Sex and the City, tells the story of a New Yorker who goes on safari during Christmas, after finding herself in a painful divorce and trying to make sense of her life. This romantic comedy is available on Netflix from November 1.

2001, the Space Odyssey

The film's poster says, "50 years ago, a film changed the cinema forever." On November 1, Stanley Kubrick's multi-award winning film 2001, Space Odyssey lands on Netflix. Released in 1968, then restored in 2018 with a prize at the Cannes Film Festival, this classic science fiction film is to be seen at least once in a lifetime.

The End of the F *** ing World season 2

After the critically-acclaimed first season, The End of The F *** ing World, released in 2017, is back with its second season. The black humour-filled story follows a budding teen psychopath and a rebel in search of adventures, inspired by a graphic novel. Starring Alex Lawther (Black Mirror) and Jessica Barden, the show, produced by Netflix, will be released on November 5.

A Beautiful Day

A Beautiful Day, directed by Lynne Ramsay and released in 2017, arrives on November 5 on the platform. Awarded the Prinx and Screenplay Award at the Cannes Film Festival, the film tells the story of Joe, a brutal and tortured veteran who searches for the missing daughter of a senator. Confronted with a wave of revenge and corruption, he is drawn into a spiral of violence.

Let It Snow

The film, arriving on Netflix on November 8, tells the adventures of a group of friends whose stories of love and friendship are put to a hard test when they find themselves stuck in a snowstorm on December 24. The cast of this Christmas comedy includes Kiernan Shipka, cast in Sabrina's The New Adventures, and Shameik Moore, who starred in Spider-Man: New Generation.

The Crown season 3

The first two seasons of The Crown traced the British history from 1947 to 1964, but season 3, whose release on Netflix is scheduled for November 17, begins in 1977, covering in particular milestones of history, such as the Apollo 11 lunar landing and the partnership between Elizabeth II and Prime Minister Harold Wilson (played by Jason Watkins). After Claire Foy, actress Olivia Colman takes over the role of Queen in this season.

The Knight Before Christmas

Following the success of The Princess of ChicagoVanessa Hudgens returns with another Christmas comedy, embodying a teacher too often disappointed by love. In The Knight Before ChristmasJosh Whitehouse plays a medieval knight, magically propelled into the modern world. The release of the film is scheduled for November 21.

Already described as a masterpiece by the critics, in this adaptation of the book I Heard You Paint Houses, Robert De Niro plays a veteran hitman Frank Sheeran. Extremely awaited by the press and the general public, the film has already received the "certified fresh" rating of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. The film will be released in theaters on November 13, two weeks before it goes on Netflix.
