The Alpine Eagle collection features three automatic movements, all developed exclusively in Chopard's watchmaking workshops and chronometer-certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute - a rarity amongst watches in this category.
A timepiece that is as unique as this must be crafted from materials that reflect its iconic status. Developed exclusively for the Alpine Eagle, Chopard presents the Lucent Steel A223.
Four years of tireless research have given birth to a quality of metal that is just as precious as gold with the superior functionality of steel.
Developed by Chopard and its partner Voestalpine Böhler, Lucent Steel A223 is a metal like no other. REACH-certified and produced with an ethical approach, this unique and precious metal is the product of four years of tireless research.. Special care was taken in order to ensure that the material used to craft the Alpine Eagle was not only beautiful but extremely high-performance. Uniquely durable, Chopard Lucent Steel A223 is 50% harder than other steels. It is also antiallergenic, making it comparable in quality to surgical steel. But all this function would be nothing without form. Chopard Lucent Steel A223 is perhaps most prized for its signature lucent quality that gives the metal an ethereal incandescence.

Entirely developed, produced and assembled at the Chopard watchmaking workshops, the Chopard 09.01-C caliber is a self-wound mechanical movement with a frequency of 25,200 alternations per hour. With a 42-hour power reserve, it displays the hours and minutes with the precision and elegance that characterize Chopard.
