In each Saint Laurent creation, we find cinematographic or musical references dear to its artistic director, Anthony Vaccarello. For this model, it seems that it was the cult film Cléo from 5 to 7, by the director of the new wave Agnès Varda, which inspired him.
Unveiled on the occasion of the spring-summer 2021 parade which took place last December in the Moroccan desert, we saw it worn with the cycling look, signature of the collection. A mix of genres as the sublime collection of last winter had already been, in which the designer had combined vinyl leggings with shouldered jackets and blouses with lavallière collar.
Imbued with a 70s / 80s style, the 5 à 7 plays on the sobriety of a black leather enhanced with a golden logo clasp. We also like its variations in shiny calfskin, mat crocodile, python and shiny alligator. It is worn very short, under the shoulder. This is definitely the Saint Laurent woman's bag by Anthony Vaccarello.
