The year 2017 sent the fashion industry into a kerfuffle. Creative directors seemed to have been playing an endless game of musical chairs and notably, several American designers decided to forsake their usual slots on the New York Fashion Week calendar. And with 2018 well underway, it seems that other brands—Gucci and Raf Simons included—have been unable to resist the siren call of the French capital.
Gucci's decision to show in Paris is unexpected, but for the house of Raf, it marks a homecoming. The Belgian designer first began showing his collections there and cited a change in the brand's direction when asked to explain the move.
So while we have yet to see what Simons has in store for us, all eyes will be on Paris come June 29.
