Inaugurated as part of the Salone del Mobile in Milan, the temporary store Gucci Décor shows the world of interiors according to Alessandro Michele.

As part of the city's annual design festival, Salone del Mobile, the 2,691-square-foot space is a real treasure trove of Baroque codes that Michele brought to Gucci when he took over as creative director in 2015.

The objects are part of a new collection of furniture and decorative pieces designed by Alessandro Michele. With the motifs, patterns and codes of the House, the line also includes trays, cushions, cups and folding metal tables designed to personalize the home.

Part of the porcelain collection includes vases produced by Richard Ginori, the renowned Florentine company founded in 1735. The chair of the capitonné porter is upholstered in leather or velvet, with a drawer at the bottom, inspired by high-backed chairs and covers with canopy In England, and later in 16th century France. A range of unconventional wallpapers are printed on vinyl, paper or silk.

The walls are papered with Michele's flora and fauna motifs and adorned with hanging blankets, designed to look like tapestries. In addition, and in line with Gucci's taste of the old and the futuristic, a new application created in conjunction with the store uses augmented technology to allow customers to virtually place objects from the Gucci Décor range in their own homes.

The store will be open until June of this year.
