Mytheresa exclusively launches Christian Louboutin’s Portugaba tote
With the newly designed Portugaba tote, Christian Louboutin wanted to pay tribute to Portugal – a country that inspires him – by putting his signature Louboutin twist on honoured traditional designs, showcasing artisanal Savoir-faire. From the beads on its handles to the fringing on its body and the masterly mix of bold colours, the Portugaba is the ideal summer tote combining form and function, and comes in two different colourways: black & white.
To support its exclusive online pre-launch, Mytheresa has created a dedicated editorial video set in the streets and cafés of Lisbon, perfectly capturing the essence of a country close to Christian Louboutin’s heart. Filmed in one long take by a single camera, the one-shot video takes the viewer from one scene to another, from a traditional folklore dance presentation to a typical Portuguese café and Lisbon’s colourful and eccentric streets, subtly presenting the essence of the Portugaba tote in an off-beat, modern way.
